✨ The Renewed Elements Collection: A Celebration of Rebirth, Craft, and African Recycled Glass Beads

✨ The Renewed Elements Collection: A Celebration of Rebirth, Craft, and African Recycled Glass Beads There is something extraordinary about materials that have lived a life before they reach the artist’s hands. Something soulful and resilient. This is the heart of The Renewed Elements Collection — a line of jewelry crafted with African recycled glass beads, each one shaped from discarded glass and reborn through fire, artistry, and tradition. I’m excited to share the story behind these remarkable beads and introduce the collection they inspired. 🌍 The Art of African Recycled Glass Beads Across parts of West Africa, especially Ghana, artisans have perfected the ancient craft of transforming broken glass into luminous, hand‑formed beads. This process is both sustainable and deeply cultural as has been passed down through generations. Discarded glass bottles, windows, and glass scraps are crushed into a fine powder, carefully sifted, and poured into clay molds. The molds  are then pl...

Handmade Jewelry, It Just Feels Right

You've got to admit, there’s something special about handmade jewelry. There is a story behind each piece that has been so lovingly created by the artisans's own hands, not from a factory that mass produces pieces.

What makes each handmade piece special are the little imperfections and the fact that someone put time, care, and their heart and soul into making it.

Each piece is unique just like each one of us. No two pieces or people are exactly alike. Think of each piece as a small piece of wearable art.

Because of the all of reasons mentioned above, it makes you feel a little bit more connected to the piece.

As an artisan, I can tell you that we put everything into what we do and it gives me great satisfaction when I can support other small artists and craftspeople by purchasing from them.

So, next time you want to treat yourself or buy a gift, consider buying from a small business. They'll be forever grateful and you'll feel a sense of pride knowing that you supported a small business. Trust me, I know. I'm both the small business owner and the buyer. I do a happy dance when a piece of my jewelry sells AND when I get my purchases we all like to call "happy mail".

Got a favorite handmade piece or a story about one? I’d love to hear! Drop a comment below!

Until next time,
