✨ The Renewed Elements Collection: A Celebration of Rebirth, Craft, and African Recycled Glass Beads

✨ The Renewed Elements Collection: A Celebration of Rebirth, Craft, and African Recycled Glass Beads There is something extraordinary about materials that have lived a life before they reach the artist’s hands. ✨ The Renewed Elements Collection: A Celebration of Rebirth, Craft, and African Recycled Glass Beads

There is something extraordinary about materials that have lived a life before they reach the artist’s hands. Something soulful and resilient.

This is the heart of The Renewed Elements Collection — a line of jewelry crafted with African recycled glass beads, each one shaped from discarded glass and reborn through fire, artistry, and tradition.

I’m excited to share the story behind these remarkable beads and introduce the collection they inspired.

🌍 The Art of African Recycled Glass Beads

Across parts of West Africa, especially Ghana, artisans have perfected the ancient craft of transforming broken glass into luminous, hand‑formed beads. This process is both sustainable and deeply cultural as has been passed down through generations.

Discarded glass bottles, windows, and glass scraps are crushed into a fine powder, carefully sifted, and poured into clay molds. The molds  are then placed into earthen kilns, where the glass is heated until it melts and fuses into shape.

Once cooled, each bead is polished, washed, and sometimes hand‑painted — resulting in beads that feel earthy, organic, and full of character.

No two beads are ever identical. Each one carries its own story. This is what drew me to them.

I’m always searching for materials that feel alive. Pieces that hold texture, warmth, and meaning. African recycled glass beads have all of that and more.

They are Earth born, hand crafted, sustainably made, rich with cultural heritage and in my eyes, beautifully imperfect in the best way.

Their matte finish and soft, frosted glow and rustic appearance pair perfectly with my hammered metals and natural gemstones. They bring a grounded, soulful energy to every design.

🌿 Introducing: The Renewed Elements Collection

The collection honors renewal, sustainability, and the artistry of human hands, both the hands that formed the beads and the hands that shaped the jewelry. Every bead has lived a life before this one and every piece carries a story of rebirth.

💫 A Collection Rooted in Meaning

When you wear a piece from The Renewed Elements Collection, you’re wearing a fragment of earth, a piece of history, a story of renewal and the work of artisans across continents

It’s truly jewelry with soul, created slowly, intentionally, and with deep respect for the materials.

Today we will learn about the 12 most commonly known stones. Every gem has its own interesting history behind it. Birthstones are set on all types of jewelry. Whether the stone is set in a ring, a pair of earrings, a bracelet or a necklace, it allows the wearer to celebrate their special day every day of the year.  The official birthstone chart was created by the National Association of Jewelers in 1912.
